ANKENMAN RANCH UPDATE
Purebred Tarentaise Cattle
Miami, Oklahoma
Thank you for your interest in our Tarentaise Cattle, our operation, and the business of ranching in general.

This UPDATE will include the following:

1. New Sign...Same Great Cattle
2. Herd Health Program
3. Turn the Bulls Out
4. Celebration Times Two
5. Bull Battery and Heifer Brigade Continues

1. New Sign...Same Great Cattle

In this time of lightning fast communication via the internet, an entry sign on your place is still one of the best ways to advertise and tell people you are still in business.

Two new signs, new paint on the bull cutout (I even became a graffiti artist with a can of black spray paint) and a reader board! Now we can change our wording as needed.

2. Herd Health Program

Ankenman Ranch has always followed a strict and comprehensive total herd health program. With the recent issues of BSE, this method of health management in addition to accurate record keeping is extremely important.

3. Turn the Bulls Out!

Since we calve in both the Spring and the Fall, the bulls are turned out to the cows twice a year. The bulls almost sense that it is time to go. Chris and I keep all the bulls at our ranch home place; I call it "bull hill."

4. Celebration Times Two

This is one for the record books. Both Chris' parents and my parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this summer. Both couples are still actively involved in their ranching operations. If I was a statistical analyst, I would deduce that long marriages and good health have a direct correlation to ranching!

5. Bull Battery and Heifer Brigade Continues.

Need a bull?

Have a great year,

Chris and Sandy Ankenman
